Innovative & Model Programs for Children with Special Needs and Wandering

This quarter The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children launched a public service announcement (PSA) featuring Holly Robinson-Peete, http://www.missingkids.com/awaare. The PSA focuses on bystanders getting involved if they see a child in a situation that could put them at risk. According to the CDC, 1 out of 68 children has been identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder. According to the National Autism Association, nearly half of these children engage in wandering behavior, with drowning being the leading cause of death. The Kids Missing Foundation shares this information in an effort to inform the general public of this important information. Thank you for helping to keep ALL kids safe!
